Feb 15 Concert - Henry Jeanneret with Andre Cutair and Owen Posnett
Join friend of St. Dunstan’s, Henry Jeanneret with Andre Cutair and Owen Posnett Valentine’s Day weekend for a musical celebration of love. With classics from Gershwin to Rodgers and Hart to newer sweet surprises, this concert will be sure to fill you spirits with hope and comfort in a tribute to honoring all kinds of love.
Henry Armstrong (he/him) is a singer and transgender activist from DC and is thrilled to be performing as part of St. Dunstan’s Jazz Series. With over 15 years in the performing arts, he has explored a multitude of styles, from Carmina Burana to Chuck Berry, and feels most at home crooning old jazz tunes. His sentimental jazzy sound is inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Johnny Hartman, and Mister Rogers. Performance highlights include singing in the opera chorus with Andrea Bocelli at the CFG Bank Arena and performing as a soloist with Woolly Mammoth Theatre in DC. He can be found singing throughout the DMV and online @henryarmstrongmusic
Andre Cutair is a guitarist, bass player, drummer, and composer from the DC metro area. He has decades of experience with music, has fronted numerous bands, and accompanied a host of performers. He’s currently focusing on traditional jazz compositions, including songs from Cole Porter to Charles Mingus.
Owen Posnett is a DMV-based jazz pianist and theater director. He recently music directed A Year With Frog and Toad at Rockville Musical Theatre, served as bandleader of Meat Expectations, the first musical written in American Sign Language, and directed a holiday show called Songs That Santa Forgot.
