X-WR-CALDESC:Every week\, the bulletin for St. Dunstan’s worship features a
piece of original artwork crafted by our “Liturgical Artist in Residence\
,” Sue Carroll. Her work often fills the walls of the Nave Gallery\, and s
he has led the congregation through several participatory art experiences\
, as well. Have you ever wondered how she goes about making all this art?
\n\nPlease join Sue after worship on Sunday for a chance to learn about h
er process. Sue will have a “show and tell” about the fun and frustrations
she encounters as she studies the Bible passages that are assigned each w
eek – “lets” images come to her – researches and reflects on the historica
l and theological aspects of the passage – and then paints\, sews\, cuts a
nd glues a wild assortment of materials together to bring the images to li
fe. And then sometimes has to start all over\, because things go awry. You
will be able to see samples of some of the materials she uses in her work
\, and there will be time for questions and answers.
